Level-up your woodworking skills on our Mortise & Tenon course!

Join our hands-on, one-day workshop and master the most important joint in woodworking – the mortise and tenon. Using traditional hand tools and time-tested techniques, you'll create precise, rock-solid joints every single time.

Our friendly, expert tuition is designed to boost your confidence, guiding you step-by-step to craft the perfect through mortise and tenon from scratch. The precision required will transform your woodworking abilities, giving you the skills to tackle future projects with confidence and accuracy.

Our stress-free approach in the workshop means we'll practise the joint more than once during the day, so you don't need to worry about mistakes – in fact they are an important part of the day and the best way to learn!

By the end of the day, you'll have completed your very own joint, including a full glue-up, and you'll take home comprehensive notes to help you keep practising. We provide all tools, materials, safety equipment, and of course, plenty of tea and coffee to fuel your creativity!

This course assumes you can saw straight lines, set up and sharpen a plane, and use a marking gauge accurately. If you haven’t mastered those yet, we recommend our Hand Tool Skills course first.

Please note: if you are interested in a date that is fully booked please get in touch at hello@ashandcompany.co.uk. We sometimes get cancellations and can put you on the waiting list for a bench space.

ABOUT THE COURSE:
