WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?:

ABOUT THE COURSE:
Under the guidance of our experienced instructor, Jonty, you'll dive into the world of woodworking by sawing hardwood pieces to precise lengths and assembling them to form the sturdy frame of your keepsake box. We'll show you how to fix any cuts that aren't quite square so your box will go together perfectly.

We'll guide you through the process of carefully cutting and gluing in a plywood base, ensuring durability and functionality.

The highlight of this course is the creation of a swivel top lid. You'll learn how to cut wood to size, drill a hole for a dowel, and skilfully assemble the lid to complete your unique keepsake box.

We'll also teach you the art of proper sanding and finishing techniques, ensuring a smooth and flat surface. To protect and enhance the natural beauty of your project, we'll finish it off with a coat of hard wax oil.

Our course is thoughtfully designed to teach skills in a safe way, allowing plenty of hands-on learning and individual attention.

With a maximum of 8 students per session, we foster a welcoming and inclusive environment, where everyone's creativity can thrive.

This course is ideally suited for beginners who are eager to explore the world of woodworking. No prior experience is necessary, as we cater to all skill levels. It's perfect for those seeking a break from technology and an opportunity to learn practical skills that will last a lifetime.
