Join us on this fun woodworking workshop and build your very own wooden toy crossbow.
You will make your crossbow from a set of components including the main body, head stock, trigger mechanism, bolts with soft end caps and bungee cord. Jonty will instruct you every step of the way as you learn how to expertly build and finish your very own awesome crossbow.
We will attach ends to the crossbow bolts to make them soft on impact and don’t worry mums and dads, they’re not powerful enough to cause any damage, just powerful enough to have fun with!
Then, we’ll let everyone have a go with their new crossbow - safely of course!
WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?
The minimum age for this workshop is 8+. Children under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult (free-of-charge).
HOW LONG IS THE COURSE?
This woodworking course runs for approximately two hours.
WHAT SKILLS WILL I LEARN?
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to sand things properly, how to mark – up wood and how to attach pieces together using wood glue. You’ll get to use a saw, hammer and clamps among other tools to really get into the workshop vibe!

WHERE IS THE COURSE?
This course is run in our workshop in Church Crookham, just off the A287 on the Hampshire/Surrey border. We are extremely proud of the Ash & Co workshop and offer a safe and friendly environment that welcomes all ages and genders to share in our passion for making.

Do I need any experience?
Not at all! This course is perfect for young makers. We’ll guide you through everything step-by-step.
Can my child attend on their own?
No, children under 16 must be accompanied by a supervising adult (free of charge).
What should we wear?
Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting a bit dusty and closed-toe shoes. We’ll provide aprons and all safety gear.
Do we need to bring anything?
No, everything’s provided, including tools, materials and safety equipment. Just bring your enthusiasm for making!
Can we bring food or drink into the workshop?
You are welcome to bring a soft drink into the workshop but please do not bring any food in for health and safety reasons.
Will we get to take the project home?
Yes! Each participant will leave with their very own handmade toy crossbow to proudly take home.
