ABOUT THE COURSE:
During this hands-on course, you will learn the principles of upcycling and explore the endless possibilities of repurposing furniture. We'll guide you through the process of breathing new life into your chosen piece of furniture, unlocking your imagination and igniting a passion for sustainable creativity.

You will be required to bring your own piece of furniture to work on, ensuring it is no larger than a small bedside table, mirror, or chair. If you don't have anything suitable at home, a charity shop or the waste recycling centre should have plenty of pieces waiting for a second chance.

Before attending the workshop, please make sure your furniture piece is thoroughly cleaned. This will ensure a clean painting area and allow us to focus on the upcycling process without any unnecessary mess.

Throughout the course, our experienced instructors will introduce you to various upcycling techniques. You'll learn how to use a variety of paintbrushes, chalk paints, wax finishes, sandpaper, and fillers to breathe new life into your furniture.

By the end of the course, you'll have a unique piece of upcycled furniture that reflects your individuality and design flair as well as having contributed to reducing waste and promoting a more sustainable lifestyle.

We recommend wearing old clothes as there is a possibility of getting covered in paint as we encourage all our students to embrace the creative process and have fun.

WHAT TOOLS WILL I USE?
• Paintbrushes
• Chalk paints
• Wax finishes
• Sandpaper
• Fillers
Please note: you will need to bring your own piece of furniture to work on
