Join us on Saturday 30th April for a very special Mini-Maker Workshop!

It's our Jonty's birthday on Saturday 30th April so what better way to celebrate than with a super creative Mini-Maker Workshop? Marvellous Makers will be able to choose between our usual projects or a 'free-make' - they can make whatever they choose from a huge selection of blocks and pieces*!

This special event will run a little differently to our regular Mini-Maker sessions. Book your bench space for an up-front fee of £20 per maker, nothing extra to pay on the day (unless you choose to add paints). Adults are welcome to make too - just book yourself a bench space! Supervising adults are free of charge.

On arrival you can choose any project from our menu or choose to 'free-make' - make whatever you like from a selection of blocks*. This is your chance to get as creative as you like! Jonty will be on-hand to help drill holes or cut blocks to shape to help your child achieve their vision.

In your bench space will be all the usual tools, accessories, extra scrap wood, fabric, wood curls and more needed to make your totally awesome creations!

Suitable for children aged 5 and up, mini-maker sessions are a fun creative activity that teach children hands-on woodworking skills in a safe environment.

Children will learn new skills including how to use basic hand tools, sand wood and connect pieces together using dowels or glue. They will leave with a huge sense of pride and a fantastic imaginative creation built with their own hands.

Based on the Hampshire / Surrey border, Jonty's warm welcome always makes everyone feel at home in the workshop and he will be on hand to offer tuition and advice throughout the session.

*'Free-make' creations need to be within reason! There will be a limit to the number of blocks allowed per child and projects must be completed with hand tools within the 90 minute session.

Please note:
Children must be accompanied by a grown-up at all times in the workshop. They will have access to tools, un-sanded wood, glues etc and must be properly supervised.

One adult can supervise one or two children.

For older children (around age 9+), one adult to three kids is fine.
